The Millennium Dual Tilt-in-Space Rise and Recline Chair with Variable Angle Lift Frame (VAL)

The Millennium is a dual tilt-in-space, rise and recline chair suitable for clients with most general and early stage conditions. The Millennium possesses the functions of a rise and recline chair, but also the attributes of  a care chair by providing excellent postural support and pressure care options. This specialist rise and recline chair has been successfully issued by occupational therapists across the country and has achieved outstanding results for long-term care.

Specialist Features

This chair is built with a Variable Angle Lift Frame (VAL) which offers three different height transfer positions. This enables you to achieve the correct standing transfer height for a wide range of clients, which can be easily altered to suit multiple client heights. Additionally, an Electric Lift Up Arm can be added to the Millennium for wheelchair transfers or for those who require side transfers.

Pressure Care and Posture

There are options for integrated pressure care which include grade 3  high dependency gel or grade 4 very high dependency. The pressure care is interchangeable and can be changed for different users or for an individual as their care needs change over time, making this an incredibly functional chair.

The standard chair is supplied with Thoracic Lateral Support back rests to enhance in-line core stability and provide excellent postural support and comfort to the user.

The Legacy

Independant modular care chair with incredible adjustability

The Cura Legacy is a modern design independent Tilt-in-Space multi dual movement “modular chair” which boasts incredible adjustability to ensure that the user is always comfortable with good postural support.

The dimensions of the chair are all adjustable, the seat angle, the back angle, the seat depth and seat width can all be changed with ease, ensuring the client is seated correctly.  The seat width is adjustable from 16” to 20” and the seat depth can be adjusted between 17” and 21”, the seat rake has 3 position adjustments.

The Tilt-in-Space recline is reclined by means of a hydraulic gas mechanism trigger whilst the back rest angle is changed manually on a 7 point adjustment pull pin.  The legacy chair also features a hydraulic gas action leg rest elevation that is controlled by a pull lever at the side of the chair.

The back rest has options of thoracic lateral or butterfly thoracic support, this provides the best lateral support available to ensure the client’s core stability is maximised. Back rests can also be moulded for the individual’s body contours if required.

Optional footplates 90 degree fixed angle or 90 degree adjustable angle are available.

Pressure care seat systems;  the standard chair is supplied with a memory foam cushion and overlay as standard, upgrade options are for gel seat cushions and air cell cushions for high dependency grade 3 or dynamic alternating air technology cushions can also be used giving grade 4 very high dependency.

The Procare Mobility Elevator is a British made Rise and Recline chair designed with adjustable height and optional electric elevating arm rests for side transfers. Made with wheelchair users and Muscular Dystrophy clients in mind, this chair provides comfort and ease of use for the client as it has been made to meet their specific requirements.

The Elevator chair is designed for users who require a horizontal flat lift to assist them into a standing position. This is the most successful chair for clients with Muscular Dystrophy who have great difficulty standing using a conventional tilted forward lift on a rise and recline chair. The conventional chair is unsuitable as it forces the user’s feet firmly into the ground and exerts pressure on their hips and legs. The Elevator is designed specifically to meet the needs of Muscular Dystrophy clients as the horizontal flat lift will lift them into the standing position using a “drop in” technique, creating safer and more comfortable transitions and reducing pressure on the lower body.

The Elevator also has optional elevating armrests which benefits wheelchair users who require a chair that has a range of transfer heights. The chair can be supplied with single or double elevating armrests for side transfers, allowing the client to independently transfer themselves from different heights e.g. chair to wheelchair/ chair to commode.

The Elevator also has backrest options for lateral/thoracic support and posture and the option for pressure relief in the seat base/cushion.
