The Procare Medica – NHS Advanced Multi-functional Chair

With extensive features for both patient and Nurses the Procare Medica is truly an advanced multi-functional chair

The Procare Medica advanced multi-functional chair is a motorised, portable specialist chair. It has been specifically designed with both patients and hospital staff in mind. This multi-user chair boasts powered forward tilt and extensive seat height and seat depth adjustment. This ensures that any user can achieve the correct postural position. Their feet will be on the on the floor and knees bent at a 90° angle. This chair can be used in practically any hospital ward and has been very successful for patients undergoing rehabilitation, alongside those in Physio and Orthopaedic wards.

The Procare Medica has powered forward tilt and vertical rise. This feature effortlessly assists patients with sit-to-stand transfers helping to create comfortable transitions. It also assists in relieving pressure on the user’s knees and hips. The seat height, seat depth and tilt-in-space are all adjusted using the handset. This gives the user full control and helps them to find their most comfortable position. Side transfers have also been made easier with the two flip up arm rests.

A practical advanced multi-functional chair

The Procare Medica has four locking castors and a push handle on the back of the chair, making it easy to manoeuvre between wards. The chair has a re-chargeable battery pack therefore it can be moved to any location without requiring a plug socket.  It has been designed so that it is easy to clean, with functional wipe clean fabric and removable twist clip or press stud coverings and cushions.

Our standard chair is supplied with a Systam-Gel seat cushion and overlay. This provides (high dependency grade 3 pressure relief). There is an optional upgrade to dynamic alternating air cell cushions for (very high dependency grade 4).
